Order processing was almost entirely manual — staff extracted data from purchase orders in various formats, manually re-entered it into the ERP system and generated acknowledgements by hand. This took 4 hours daily and a 6% transcription error rate was affecting customer satisfaction.

We built an AI document processing pipeline that automatically extracted key data from purchase orders in any format — PDF, Word, email — and populated a structured record for review before ERP entry.
A validation layer flagged orders where extraction confidence was below threshold, routing them to a human reviewer. We integrated with the existing ERP and built a review interface that took the four-hour daily task to under 40 minutes.
