The Challenge
The product team faced pressure to add AI features but had no clear view of which would create real value. Several AI projects had been started and abandoned after failing to deliver meaningful improvement to user outcomes.

An AI Opportunity Scan combined analysis of the product's feature set, customer usage data, user feedback themes and the competitive landscape — focusing on user problems AI was genuinely suited to solve.
Five validated use cases emerged: intelligent task prioritisation, meeting summary and action extraction, project risk flagging, automated status report generation and smart resource allocation. Each was scored against business impact, technical feasibility and implementation complexity.
